Where the device is used
Diaphragm expansion vessels (Reflex N/S/NG, Refix DD/DT etc.) operate on gas-side pre-pressure — typically nitrogen or air — that absorbs water expansion in HVAC systems. This gas pressure decays over time, so it must be checked periodically (annually, ideally before the heating season) and topped up if needed. The device screws onto the vessel's gas valve and shows the exact reading in bar/kPa/psi on an illuminated display.
