Notes for the designer

DN20 is chosen when peak DHW flow exceeds ~0.3 l/s (>1.1 m³/h) — AVTB 15 (Kvs 1.9) would give excessive Δp. The sensor is threaded into the DHW outlet branch.

Can I use it in a heating loop?

Technically yes, but AVTB targets DHW. Heating loops use electronic control (ECL Comfort + AMV actuator).

Does it work without network pressure?

No. AVTB opens/closes by sensor expansion; the system needs flow and pressure differential.
