Where XB 12L-2 36/36 CoResist is used
This 36-plate brazed heat exchanger is designed for user branches in substations of multi-family and commercial buildings. Primary side from district heating network, secondary side for space heating or DHW production. The CoResist variant enables use in systems with aggressive (chlorides, ammonia) water, where standard copper brazing would be unsuitable. For hard water with elevated Ca/Mg carbonate content, limescale gradually builds up on the plates and reduces heat-transfer efficiency; for such systems gasketed (plate-and-frame) exchangers are preferable, as they can be periodically opened for mechanical or CIP cleaning.
