Where the capillary tube is used

The DA-616 differential pressure controller operates hydraulically — it requires two pressure signals: from the beginning of the consumer branch (high-pressure side) and the end (low-pressure side). This signal is transmitted through the capillary tube, which connects the regulator diaphragm to the controlled branch point. Without the capillary tube, DA-616 will not function as a Δp regulator — it stays a plain flow valve.

Can an old capillary tube from another regulator be reused?

Technically — sometimes yes, if the system matches and threads are identical. In practice — not recommended: an old tube may have corrosion, deformations or leaks that compromise Δp control accuracy.

What happens if the capillary tube blocks?

DA-616 stops "seeing" the pressure signal — either fully (spring closes fully) or partially (oscillation). Symptoms: the heating branch is too hot / too cold, or temperature keeps changing. Fix — check capillary integrity and flow, replace if needed.

Does the capillary tube carry pressure?

Yes, the capillary transmits working pressure (up to 16 bar) but with no flow. Simpler than a flow pipe — but still requires PN 16 class sealing.

Can it be used with other manufacturers' Δp regulators?
