When design flow exceeds 8 m³/h and the pressure budget cannot afford a larger Δp across the valve. DN 32 Kvs 16 suits > 230 kW points with a tight permissible Δp.

Suitable as a DH primary valve?

Yes. This PN 16 threaded valve is common not only at substation primaries but also in mixing groups.

Do I need a spacer / adapter between the valve and pipework?
