Where T-Plus DN20 is used
The DN20 size is typically chosen for apartment supply and towel-rail connections on risers, individual radiator branches in multi-family and single-family buildings, where a DN20 steel main feeds several consumer points. Typical scenarios — bathroom towel-rail branch on a DHW recirculation riser, an additional apartment water meter branch, DHW return line branching.
The 10 Nm tightening torque allows the joint to be fitted with a standard spanner; no system drain-down is needed, installation takes about 3-5 minutes. Work can therefore be done during the heating season without disrupting other users on the riser.

Frequently asked questions
Can it be used in DHW (domestic hot water) systems?
Yes, the cast iron T-Plus version is certified for potable water systems — on steel pipes. For copper pipework use the brass T-Plus version.
Can T-Plus be removed after installation?
The tee can be unbolted, but the seal's cutting element is single-use — for reinstallation the seal kit must be replaced. The pipe is left with a round hole that can be closed with a new Flamco T-Plus, welded shut, or capped with a cast iron plug.
Can it be used in high-pressure (above 25 bar) systems?
No. The cast iron T-Plus maximum working pressure is PN 25 (25 bar). For higher-pressure industrial applications Flamco offers different products — contact our technical team.
How to prepare the pipe before installation?
The pipe surface at the clamping point must be clean (no paint, rust scale or insulation). Verify the wall thickness ≤ 2.0 mm. If the pipe is coated with a thick paint layer, clean it down to bare metal.
