Have questions?
TL;DR: Flamco T-Plus DN32 — cast iron rapid installation tee, clamped onto a DN32 (Ø 42.4 mm) steel pipe to form an Rp 1" branch. Designed for floor riser branches and manifold feeds without welding or system drain-down.
  • Application: DN25 branch on a DN32 steel pipe
  • Pipe outer Ø: 42.4 mm (1 1/4")
  • Branch connection: Rp 1" (female thread, DN25)
  • Nominal pressure / T: PN 25 / +120 °C

Where T-Plus DN32 is used

DN32 is typically chosen for floor or section riser branching, manifold feed points and additional heating loop connection (e.g. underfloor). This size is popular on the consumer side of multi-family substations, where several apartment or underfloor loop branches need to be led off a DN32 main manifold.

The 16 Nm tightening torque is achievable with a torque wrench and a normal arm extension. Where the same job with welding and a drain-down cycle would take 4-6 hours with a shutdown that is impossible during the heating season, the T-Plus completes it in about 10 minutes without disrupting existing users.

Designer note: at the DN32 level the post-branch flow rate must be checked — if the branch will be fed at full Rp 1" flow (e.g. into a manifold with several underfloor loops), verify that the main DN32 pipe can accommodate the additional pressure drop. The T-Plus barely reduces pipe throughput, but the clamp point is a fixed geometry pinch point.

When to choose T-Plus DN32

  • Floor or section riser branch on a DN32 riser
  • Underfloor heating manifold feed branch off an existing heating main
  • System extension with the district heating network running — no seasonal shutdown needed
  • Compatibility: steel pipes per DIN EN 10255 M/H, DIN EN 10216, DIN EN 10217 with wall thickness ≤ 2.0 mm

Frequently asked questions

What system temperatures and pressures does it handle?

Up to +120 °C and PN 25 (25 bar). Withstands classic district heating regimes (90/70 °C) and individual boiler house pressures. Higher temperatures (steam) and higher pressures — not suitable.

Is a special tool required for T-Plus installation?

No. A 16 Nm torque wrench and free pipe access (~200 mm around the clamp point). The cutting element pierces the pipe as the bolts are tightened — no drilling equipment or welding gear needed.

Can it be used in chilled water (chiller) systems?

Yes, the manufacturer confirms cooling system use. For long-term operation with condensation forming, make sure the housing and clamp point are insulated from ambient air.

How to prepare the pipe before installation?

The pipe surface at the clamp point must be clean (no paint, rust scale or insulation). Verify the wall thickness ≤ 2.0 mm. Thicker pipes (heavy-series steel) are not compatible with T-Plus.
